Christmas Pics

I got to lazy to send Christmas cards this year. Instead, I am posting our family pics on my blog. We wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.  Let us all take time to remember our Savior's birth and to show our love for him as we serve others during this Christmas Season. We hope everyone will feel the true spirit of Christmas this year as we focus our thoughts on Christ.  We are so grateful for all our friends and family and love you very much.

Love,

Pismo Beach 2008

We have started going to Pismo Beach every Year.  The kids always have a wonderful time making Sand Castles, digging holes and getting inside the holes just so they can bury themselves in the sand, and they love swimming in the freezing ocean.  The only downer was not seeing the sun the whole time we were there.  It was a great little get away from all the stresses of life.

Dax is going to 2nd grade and Duncan is so excited to go into Kindergarten.

!0 Year Anniversary

Logan surprised me on our anniversary with a hot air balloon ride.  I have always wanted to experience what it would be like to float way up in the sky.  I felt like a little kid so excited and a little nervous to fly so high up with just a balloon and a basket holding us up in the air.  It was everything I imagined.  It was so peaceful and quiet way up in the sky.  Everything looks so different when you are so high up.  We brought Dax with us. He stayed in the car with the chasers and followed us.  This will be a memorable Anniversary for us.  I love my husband very much and I can't wait to make the next 10 years as memorable as the last 10 years have been for us.

Titan

I love this picture of Titan.  We were at a Primary Party and he couldn't resist putting his mouth on the fence.  I know it is not very sanitary to put your mouth on a rusty old fence, but that is what a 1 year old does all day.  He puts things in his mouth or put his mouth on things.  I have become real relaxed when it comes to kids doing yucky things, instead of getting all uptight about titan putting his mouth on the fence I just take  pictures of the event.

Henry Family Reunion 2008

This summer we had the opportunity to go and spend some time with my Family in Utah, at an LDS Family Camp.  It was great to be reunited with family.  All of my family is spread out over the United States.  It is rare to get a chance to be together.  The only ones who were missing were my parents who are serving a Misson in Portugal right now.  They were kind enough to treat us to a Reunion without them being there.  I want to thank them for making this this wonderful trip possible.  Our Family has become so big and it was fun to see the cousins having so much fun together.  The camp was great, while the kids had fun doing their activities. The adults could spend some time together.  I am so greatful for my Family they all are so amazing and I can't wait to have our next get together.

Fire Station

Logan stopped at this fire Station off of Nees.  They had a sign up saying all visitors welcomed.  The boys were so excited to take a tour of the Fire House.  Nash, wanted to see everything and kept on asking the Fire Men to open up every little door on the Fire Truck and every closet in the Fire Station. I am sure they were glad when we left.

Portugal

Our trip to Portugal was amazing. It was so wonderful to be reunited with my parents.  They looked wonderful and had everything planned for our visit.  My favorite part was watching them in action as missionaries.  We got the chance to see them speak the language at a Stake Conference, we went to a baptism, met wonderful members of the church, Logan went on splits with the elders, and we went to a fireside.  It was wonderful to see the  missionaries so excited about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  The members of the church are so humble and love the Gospel so much.  We also saw some amazing old castles and cute little towns.  Europe is always a great place to shop.  The whole trip was breathtaking and I left having so much admiration for my parents and their willingness to serve the Lord for three years.  They made our stay so wonderful.  I know they miss their children and Grandchildren but I also know they are where they need to be serving the lord and I know they will be blessed for all their hard work.  I Love You and Miss you MoM and DaD

Baptism pics

Baptism

Dax was baptized June 15th 2008.  We had family and friends attend his baptism.  Dax, being the first to get baptized in the family was a very emotional experience.  When I saw him go under the water I felt a rush of emotions.  I had a flashback of holding him as a new born baby and looking down into his eyes with such love and excitement for him to start his new life here on earth.  I felt that same way when he was baptized and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  I am so excited for this new chapter of his life.  Dax, was filled with joy and excitement right before he was baptized.  He knew this was a very important day and this was a very big step to becoming more like his Savior. I am so grateful for the Gospel in our lives and the chance we have to raise children and to teach them about the Savior and his love for them.
