More Birthday Pics

Dax's 10th Birthday

Dax just celebrated his 10th Birthday with a swim party at our house. We surprised all of his friends by kidnapping them out of their beds with masks and water guns. We took them to breakfast then went to our house for swimming and soft pallet shooting. It was an all boy party so we had to have all the activities geared toward what boys like doing. My husband thought it would be a great idea to put a zip line over our pool because every boy loves doing crazy stunts over a pool. I hope I don't get sewed from Logan's great idea!! The boys had a great time and thankfully no one was hurt. I love having a husband who is a kid at heart. He always comes up with fun things that our boys love to do. The zip line was the hit of the party. Dax, is turning into a wonderful boy who usually is the peacemaker of the house and the most responsible. He is always helping and is a great example to my other boys. We love you Dax!!

Nash's last Day of School

We went to the park to feed the ducks. We were having a wonderful time enjoying the views when we stumbled upon two cute baby ducks that were swimming by its mother. We thought they were so cute and it was fun watching them until some other ducks started fighting with the baby ducks and trying to take them away from their mother. We told our kids they were just playing with the baby ducks. To my surprise the other ducks drowned one of the ducklings and killed it. It was kind of traumatising to watch. The kids asked if the the duck was dead. We had to explain what just happened and the kids were really sad for that little duck. We haven't gone to the park since.

The Trip to Pismo

Megan and I got this great idea to take all of our kids to Pismo Beach over Memorial Day weekend with out our husbands. Ha!Ha!Ha! Between the both of us we had 9 kids running around Pismo Beach it was hilarious. The kids loved every minute of the trip especially, when we were on the beach. The weather was a little chilly and very windy. I never was on the beach without a sweater and pants. The kids did not mind at all! They ran right to the water and jumped into the freezing water. The California beaches are so cold compared to where I grew up in Florida where the water was warm sometimes almost to warm. I won't even get near the water on the beaches in California. People gave us weird looks as we dragged our kids to all the hot spots. We missed our husbands but we had a blast with each others company and the kids loved playing with each other.

Trip to Mexico

Logan and I took a wonderful trip to Mexico with some friends. It was so relaxing and the weather was beautiful. We hung around by the beach with a book in our hands and a Virgin Daiquiri in the other hand it was fantastic!! We did some fun excursions, my favorite was the zip lines. We were deep in the jungle going down zip lines by beautiful water falls and at the end zip lining right into a big stream of water. We were there a week and loved every minute. We made some great memories and we had some great laughs.

This last April Conference we found out that my Father-In-Law was called to the 2nd Quorum of the Seventy. When we heard it on the TV we really didn't know what that call really meant and where that call would take them. I was sad at first because it has been great living so close to them and they have been wonderful Grandparents and they will be extremely missed by us and so many others here in Fresno. They were both called to Moscow, Russia but also will be traveling around Eastern Europe. We are not sure how long they will be there but his call is for 6 yrs. I am grateful to have wonderful In-Laws that love the Lord and know the importance of serving the Lord even when it can be a sacrifice. They have great faith and and a willingness to go and do the Lord's work. They are great examples to our Family and we will be sad to have them leave but excited for all the wonderful things they will be doing in Eastern Europe.

Baseball 2010 Season

I have not blogged for a very long time. It is now catch up time and I know I will probably forget something. That is what I get for being a slacker when it comes to blogging. I will pick up on the last time I blogged. This baseball season was crazy busy with two boys in baseball. I am scared when I have all 4 in baseball at the same time. Dax, loved his team and was able to pitch this season. He loved pitching so much he would get upset if he didn't pitch a game. He really doesn't get excited or passionate about to many things, thats why it shocked me when he would get upset about not pitching. Duncan, had the time of his life playing baseball with all of his good buddies from school. His coach is our next door neighbor and would take him to practice, it was wonderful!! As they get older going to their games is a lot of fun. I can't wait until next year!!

Duncan's 7th Birthday

Duncan has grown so much this past year physically and mentally. I have been so proud of him. I have noticed what a big heart he has. Just a couple days ago, Duncan out of nowhere comes out of his room and gives Dad a card. On the front of his card he has him and his dad holding hands and on the inside he writes, " Dad you are the best dad ever. I love you so much." You might expect this kind of card to be given on a birthday or another holiday. Duncan does these unexpected things all the time like I said he has a big heart. I am also proud of how well he is doing in school. Duncan did not like to read until just recently. He always would fight me when I would try and make him read. I don't know what happened but he one day started reading and just now always has a book in his hand. I always find him in a corner reading. He tells me how exciting books are to him and how much he loves them. We love Duncan and can't wait to see what this year will bring for him. Happy Birthday!!!

Lulu's Princess Party

The boys dressed up as princes for their cousins Princess Party. Nash is still talking about how pretty the princesses were at the festivities.

Nash's Christmas Program

Christmas 2009

Every year we have all the kids make a gingerbread house out of graham crackers. They love decorating and eating the candy while they decorate. It was loads of fun and sure to be a tradition in our family for years to come.

Thanksgiving Football Game

1st Dentist Trip

Nash loved going to the dentist. He had a ton of cavities but he was a trooper when they filled them all. I used to be so good at making sure my kids ate the right foods and brushed their teeth all the time. Four kids later I am not so good with what goes into their mouths and how many times I brush their teeth every day. I am happy with at least once a day brushing their teeth. I am going to have to get used to more cavities until I can get my act together.

Nash's 4th Birthday

Nash is one of a kind!! He is our most outgoing child and has such a loving and sensitive side to him. He always has a smile on his face even when he is getting in trouble. Lately, his prayers are all about giving thanks for things we might not think about for example he will say, " I am so thankful for the waves of the sea" or " I am thankful for the dirt". He is so thoughtful and loves when his mom or dad gives him attention. He will watch what the other boys do to get attention and then he will turn around and do the exact same thing and wait for our reaction. We have caught on to this and we make sure and give him tons of attention. We love our little guy so much!! What would the Lawrence Family be like without Nash, it sure would quiet around here.

Halloween 2009

I know it has been forever since I last posted. We have moved to a different home and ever since, it has been a little crazy around here. I have a lot of catching up to do. I am going to try and keep up with my busy family. This blog is my only source of a family album/journal.
